Ronald Reagan: Hero? or Villain?

I clearly remember the liberals equating the Bush administration to the 3rd reich and the sith (Star Wars).
You just can't top that kind of nuttiness.......

Someone has glorified himself in doing so.

The howling begins. In answer to your question, liberals are. Liberals force their views down peoples throats more than conservatives would ever dream of doing. Again, I have history to back me up on this. And you yourself have condemned and mocked many of my previous posts. In Wisconsin, we have liberals shoving their viewpoint down our throats all the time! Just look at the Walker recalls. Only now, the liberals are beginning to learn that people get ticked off when liberals do that - so they vote conservative. And Barack Obama is shoving his viewpoints down our throats now, which is why he is dropping in the polls. And as far as I'm concerned, he's a more urbane version of Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung.

Yes, but that meeting really did take place.

After receiving them he spoke to the press. He pointed to them and said: “These gentlemen are the moral equivalent of America’s founding fathers.” These were the Afghan Mujahiddin.
It's amazing what one can do with video editting software too.
That said Reagan is responsible for ending the Cold War and freeing Eastern Europe. Our mistake with Afghanistan back then is we left when the Soviets pulled out, when we should have stayed and made sure infrastructure got built and make sure the conditions there weren't ripe for radical lunatics to seize power.
Liberals consider Reagan to be a villain because he destroyed their idea of utopia known as the Soviet Union.

Trust me, no American liberal sees the Soviet Union as any sort of utopia.

Actually Kraichgauer, a lot of liberals do think that. A lot of other liberals like Mao and Communist China.
We also have people like Bill Ayers teaching those whom are supposed to be teaching our kids, to teach kids to think Socialism and Communism is good.
I don't think every liberal thinks of the Soviet Union as a sort of utopia, but quite frankly there are a lot of them that do.

I wonder if there are more graven images dedicated to Ronald Reagan now than there were to Joseph Stalin in his heyday?
So?
Statues of Ronald Reagan were largely being made after he was no longer President and/or after he died. To compare that to the narcisism of Joseph Stalin whom had people build statues to him because of over-inflated ego is more than a little ridiculous.

They were both a bit narcissistic.
And, they both had fervent admirers.

How is a man suffering from alzheimers and later deceased in any way narcissistic? Furthermore Reagan never conducted mass executions of American Citizens... Joseph Stalin's body count rivals Hitler's Holocaust, and that's just the deaths of his own people that he was responsible for.

That's true; he did die; and had Alzheimer's Disease; therefore he could not have been a narcissist.

Bill Ayers had been a left wing whack job, and even though he's since tuned it down, he is hardly representative of any liberals in America. No more than the Grand Dragon of the KKK represents Republicans, even though the Grand Dragon would claim he represents conservative values.

In case you hadn't noticed the kook from the KKK was a registered Democrat whom tried to switch to the Republican party (I assume you are referring to David Duke), and Republicans actively sabotaged his political campaign, even putting out ads for people to vote for the Democrat over the clown from the KKK. He was never accepted.
Furthermore, Bill Ayers has never toned it down, would you like me to find the Times, September 11, 2001 article which was an interview with Bill Ayers? It wouldn't be the first time I posted that article here.
Ronald Reagan does have a Stalinesque personality cult going on, where members of a certain political party must demonstrate appropriate fealty.
The party might make a personality cult of Karl Rove, but he looks too much like a ham loaf with glasses.
Putting statues, images and icons of Karl Rove everywhere would just make the Republican Party look silly. So, the have anointed Ronald Reagan as their God.
