As far as I know, it started with this thread:
"Female Aspies? a different presentation?"
http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt82316.html

The idea is that more men are diagnosed, that the male point of view has been studied more (for what that's worth) and that some issues are gender specific.
If you see a need for a similar forum for men, this thread would be a good place to start that conversation.

Actually, I believe the womens forum was there FIRST! ALSO, women's diagnosis stats are NOT due to womens issues.

BESIDES, this is COMMON througout society! In California, and much of the US, it is ILLEGAL to discriminate against women for ANYTHING but LEGAL to discriminate against MEN! In california, this extends EVEN to bathrooms(Men can't go into womens bathrooms, but women can go into mens bathrooms)! Anyway, the thing is that some women just INSIST on things such as private forums.

It IS kind of dumb, since no self respecting male will denigrate a woman for any woman's issues. HECK, a tampon once fell out of a woman's purse(at a dinner I was at), and she was EMBARASSED! Frankly, I didn't get what the issue was. I can understand why she was carrying it. HEY, she was OBVIOUSLY a woman, and was simply prepared. What was the embarassment for? And YEAH, a man may know less about the female psyche and less about some feelings/workings of the female body, but that doesn't mean he lacks all understanding or respect for them. HOPEFULLY, the same is true for women.

And MEN may want the same kind of privacy that women do!

For one thing, read the thread. There really are a few gender specific issues.

Secondly, I don't believe anyone has asked for a forum for men. If you want one, state your case and see if other men agree.

Speaking of gender-specific issues, does this one qualify?
"telling them" http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp2049114.html#2049114
Are men still more uncomfortable than women with relationship talk?
Or am I just living in the stone age?

ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?!?!? WATCH MOVIES! LOOK AT TV SERIES! Have you ever been to school? Males are MORE insecure about talking to women than women are about talking to men! And have you noticed about how MANY movies end up with the WOMAN leaving, and the MAN chasing after her?

Someone has asked for a forum for men? Do you have a link?

In the link above, about "Female Aspies."

"ARE YOU KIDDING!?!?!?!?" Movies and TV are fiction. I was hoping to hear something about real people. And no, I haven't been in school for a while. I know of a lot of things that have changed in the culture and I was wondering whether this was one of them.

I gave a link. It was about a man talking to a man about their friendship. Are you allowed to do that these days? When I was a kid, it was practically a felony.

There's no point in asking for it. Lets just keep the feminazi's happy. There's a few of them i've noticed around the site, i'd like to send them back 200 years ago

It has been discussed many times and for now the 'adult' section is primarily intended to serve as the repository for male gender issues.

Why would we want to exclude them?...;)

Maybe they could set up one, and call it 'This is Sparta!!"...;)

I think, if pressed, many women would retort that all the forums are male forums...;)
