Does anyone else feel the need to chronicle everything? I've kept a journal for 13 years now, since I was eleven (with a three year hiatus). I don't write about feelings or the like, only a summary of every action and event that has occurred during the day. Consequently, I can say what I've had for ...

Most, if not all, of the features typically found in those with Schizotypal PD can occur in those with AS and other ASDs. Thus a seperate Axis-II Dx of Schizotypal PD may not be necessary or legitimate in your case even if you do exhibit all the diagnostic features associated with it. You might wan...

Many Schizotypal traits are very common in those with AS and you may or may not meet the diagnostic criteria for "full-blown" SPD. I myself have been Dx-ed with schizotypal PD on nearly every neuropsych eval i've had. Here's a few things from the DSM-IV regarding SPD, tell me if any of this sounds ...

I have been seeing a psychiatrist for some time now, and last session he concluded with just what I have known myself for quite a while, mainly that I have many traits that indicate Asperger's but not a definite one that gives a clear determination of this condition (by which I presume he refers to ...

This topic is quite interesting, as I myself would fall into the category of "idiotic Asperger's label pining individual". My reason for "wanting" to have AS is merely a want for answers to my peculiar life, my incompetencies, as well as the identity-stabilizing aspect of labeling yourself or fittin...

I like it very much, and also Rosenius's book Vejledning til fred. I have been meaning to read that one for years, but haven't found the time yet. Perhaps I should make the time seeing as you recommend it. So as not to exclude the Danes I've also read "Faith's mirror" by Pontoppidan, which I presum...

Hi Amnos, thank you for the quote of Bo Giertz. I like that. I just recently read it in his devotional "To live with Christ", and thought it befitted this discussion reasonably well. BTW where are you from, since you know him? Are some of his books translated into English? I only thought they were ...

If I may dare to participate in this fine altercation, or whatever it is this is. I'm not particularly adept at presenting my own arguments, but that won't stop me from leeching on the words of greater people. As Bo Giertz puts it: "God could put a stop to suffering, but only by getting rid of every...

Thanks callisto, that's quite informative. Are you sure that they're actually separate emotions? To me they seem so linked.. I mean, anger usually has to do with blaming it on someone else, whereas anxiety/stress might be more general or situational.. but I'm not sure that they're actually different...

Thanks for your replies. I also apologize if I implicitly have insulted anyone. I may tend to say things in affect despite my fairly docile nature. Maybe it has something to do with dominance? Maybe the dominant person gets angry where the submissive person cries? It might be the case that my somewh...

It sounds to me like it's more of a female-style meltdown. Lucky me.... Rage expressed as hysterical crying and stuff is hard to correctly recognize, but I don't think it's actually different than rage expressed by violent fits. Well that is just the thing, I have never expressed rage, and in fact ...

The impression I have is that a "proper" AS meltdown generally consists of angry tantrums, erratic behaviour, complete withdrawal or some such sequence of behaviour. My "meltdowns", if that is a correct classification of my experiences, always resulted in endless crying and an inability to communica...

This heavily pertains to me as well, as you can very well tell by my post count. In my case I think it's a matter of over-stimulation. I generally enjoy the role of an observer, and when I actually engage in a "meeting of minds" it's just a bit too much. After writing one post I'm usually so fretted...

Well, that's a relief then.

Cosmiccat- thanks for the absolution.

It is likewise heartwarming to see how easily some of you will sell me out to the pope, but then I did ask for it.

When I was five I was completely infatuated by crystal-stones. Their transparency, smoothness, symmetrical shapes and awesome light-refracting capabilities. The thing is I used to steal every single one I came across, and I knew what I did was wrong, as I, in order to keep my possession of them as i...

This is all quite interesting, yet I still have doubts about the validity of macro evolution.
Perhaps I'll read a bit more on this topic.

End nescient interference.....
