I'm a terribly bad liar. I wouldn't be able to tell a convincing lie to save my life.

...You didn't believe that, did you? ()

I used to be a member several years ago. I joined because I thought it would be a good place to learn things, do courses and stuff, but I found out it's just a social club, and nobody needs a high IQ to socialize. I certainly didn't need that, so I left.

I used to be very pessimistic, but I've learnt to see difficulties as challenges to overcome. I consider myself quite optimistic now.

It happens to me constantly, specially if someone talks to me in a noisy environment (while walking on the street, for example). Sometimes it's like if I was in a foreign country where I didn't understand the language. 8O

Father: NT, with some AS traits.
Mother: NT / ADHD.
Sister: NT
Nephews: Too young to tell. They seem NT by now. ;)

Rest of the family: NTs, several of them in the highly/exceptionally gifted range.

Mother: permisive.
Father: neglectful.
The only rule at home was: "This is wrong, you figure out what is right". I never quite did, by the way...

I don't like it at all, even if it's in a "clean" way. It makes me feel very uncomfortable and I usually become verbally agressive. I guess I am more of a predator than of a prey -regarding relationships at least... 8)

Just curious, what made you choose the bathroom? Seems like a pretty unromantic place to have it happen.

Maybe it's an aspie trait. I lost "it" in a bathroom, too.

NT + NT = trouble?

I guess it depends on the two persons in the couple. It can work or it can't; the two members of the couple having AS doesn't guarantee that it will work or that it won't. Just wait to see what happens. :)

I guess we show our AS in different ways and some people may find looking after their children easier than others.
In my particular case, I know I wouldn't be a good mother but I've been told I'm an excellent aunt. And, well, none of my two nephews run and hide when they see me, so...

Having ADD as well as AS I can't concentrate to do many things. Meditation is one of them. Besides, I'm not much into "alternative therapies" and such, so I've never really tried.
