I don't think boredom during school makes you fall asleep. Like the only time I had difficulty staying awake in classes were in my drivers ed class and biology class, which were both scheduled for 3 or 4 in the afternoon, and I personally find biology interesting. When I get bored, I fidget, don't f...

I've been having trouble sleeping myself. First of all, set a bedtime for yourself and follow it strictly whenever possible, routines, you know. Second, get up at the same time every day, sleeping in only on rare occasions. This should help reset your internal clock. As for staying awake in school, ...

Hey thanks for the input. I think I'm gonna leave this topic alone since it varies too much between person to person.

I was browsing facebook and became a little awkward. I graduated high school this last spring and I still consider myself a kid. Many people my age, 18, 19, 20 year olds, are posting statuses about being pregnant and having kids. I look at these and freak out a little. Personally, I'm 18, never been...

To tell the truth, I blame my own mother for the way I and my brother turned out. It makes sense, to me at least. My dad was working and going to school while my mom was a stay at home mom. I didn't learn until a few years ago that the reason they divorced when I was 7 was because she was cheating o...

So, my NT step mom has been pushing me to get into college and get all of these things taken care of that she thinks I should be excited about. Personally, it scares me to death to imagine that I'm growing up. It was a huge ordeal when I first got my driver's license because I just had the permit fo...

Try, "You're welcome." Then ask a question along the lines of "How are you?" or "What have you been up to?" The second is probably better since How are you leads to good u? good. And then you have nowhere to go. Ask questions that lead somewhere, and remember, people generally like to talk about the...

If someone asked me that I'd be like "oh are you as well"? I did ask someone once who was very shy and trying to become friends with me. I asked in code though I said are you by any chance an "Aspie"? He said what's that? I knew instantly by that reaction that he probably wasn't. I told him it was ...

The only time I even considered asking someone was when the girl who sat next to me in band was bad mouthing autistic kids. She was doing a report on it, and I had asked if she had known anything about AS. She disregarded it, stating she was only studying autism, not asperger's, and went on about au...

I haven't had a tantrum melt-down since I was very little, but I have had melt-downs. Most notably, a couple summers ago, I was overstimulated at a walmart when there was a ton of people and i just had to stick close to my dad until we were done shopping for the vacation. I just wanted to scream or ...

It looks like a bust. You're not going to find anyone very close if you have what, 4000-6000 members, 3/4 of them male? after doing a quick search, it doesn't seem like anyone is actually ever on there. Yeah, there are people with accounts, but when their about me says they're in the late teens and ...

And every shot afterwards. I've realized that I rant so that I make sure I say everything I want to, and it is very much because sometimes I can't or don't know how to get a word in edgewise while actually speaking to people. It's so hard to get hold of the microphone that we don't want to give it ...

At work I ignore phones as much as I can and ask everyone to email me. I even communicate with my wife in another room via emails. I am much the same way. I absolutely despise talking on the phone. And my dad, who is undiagnosed Asperger's but is pretty sure he is, will text me when he's looking fo...
